Brian is back with new work inspired by his latest travels.
Using acrylics allows me to paint quickly using my numerous scribing
squeegees and brushes. The squeegees are used to create my own
calligraphy within the work and push the paint in new directions. The
addition of gel pumice in the paint gives the piece texture and depth.
My work comes from a humored melancholy viewpoint. I’m revealing the
uncanny within the mundane, exposing undertones of human
characteristics. Working in a semi intuitive fashion keeps my work evolving to push in new
directions.
