Artist’s Statement

Founded by Kim Hoelting in 1995 and located in Clinton, Washington on South Whidbey Island, Live Edge specializes in producing full dimension lumber from salvaged local old growth softwoods in premium width and length, timber and timber frame packages, custom landscaping material, and functional art for commercial and domestic use. We bring together a diverse community of loggers, sawyers, truckers, architects, builders, and artists to provide access to unique Alaskan yellow cedar, Sitka Spruce, Douglas fir, western hemlock, and western red cedar, lumber, slabs, and burls.
