Artist’s Statement

“Ryan Kerr is a photographer living in the greater Seattle area who appreciates details and
loves to highlight the things we often rush past in our fast lives. He has been taking pictures and
making short films since he was a child. His work usually focuses on darkness, texture, pops of
color, and symmetry. Much of his inspiration comes from his love of art house films, renaissance
paintings, as well as Godzilla. In his spare time, he can be found at home with his cats, writing
the next short horror film to make with his partner while they plan their next nerdy getaway
where he will inevitably bring his camera.”
