Purple large iridescent Milropa blown glass vessel - David Huchthausen

Early David Huchthausen, Milropa Studio Art Glass Vase- with interior iridescent air bubble designs. Internationally recognized artist David Huchthausen joined Milropa Studios as the Design Director in December of 1978. He had just returned to the United States following two years in Vienna on a Fulbright Research Scholarship. Huchthausen designed a line of Air Trap vessels based on unique pieces that he had been creating between 1975 and 1979. The Milropa Air Trap line was available in six colors and four shapes, a small round vase, a taller oval vase, an open bowl with straight sides and a tall thin cylinder.
