Structural Silence series 13- elongated neck - Vineeta Agarwal

This piece is a study of lines in space and an exploration of the tension between structure and form. After wheel-throwing the porcelain, I meticulously applied a hand drawn black grid to follow the natural taper of the neck and map out the curves of the bottle. I love how the vertical lines ground the form while the horizontal bands provide a structural contrast. To me, the surprise of the red interior is the soul of the work - a final intentional touch of warmth meant to break the silence of the black and white.
