March Spotlight: Pacific Northwest Women in Art

 _

As Women’s History Month is celebrated, Catalyst Fine Art is showcasing the work of several local women artists and artisans. Currently, the gallery is exhibiting the artwork of 16 different women artists on a rotating basis. These artists are from various regions around Washington, such as Vashon Island, Whidbey Island, Seattle, Bellevue, Bothell, Edmonds, Issaquah, and Tacoma. You can find additional information about each individual artist on the artist’s page on the Catalyst website.

On March 12th, many of these artists will be present at the monthly second-Tuesday Art Walk from 6:30 – 9 pm. It’s a perfect opportunity to visit the gallery and support local artists.

The March Art Walk will also feature a pop-up by the Ballard Millinery Studio. These artisans create hats, fascinators, headbands, and more. The studio has six hat makers, five of which are women. Come be inspired for Easter, the Kentucky Derby, and other spring events or get your order in now for a custom headpiece for an upcoming wedding.
