Narrative Book Collaging

Join John Arbuckle, Craig van den Bosch, and Colleen Monette for a weekend workshop in book making and collage.

This fun filled workshop with three Pacific NW artists will be held at The Lodge at St. Edward’s State Park in Kenmore, Washington. The workshop is divided into three sections. The first part will be construction of your book and the creation of Japanese style papers using a process called Suminagashi and other printing techniques. These processes will incorporate natural vegetation. The workshop continues with the development of a collaged narrative which includes repetition of thematic components, similar and related elements, color, pattern and place making. In the final segment of this workshop we will be adding finishing elements to your amazing book. Possible additions include photo transfers, overlays, thread, ribbon, paint and markers.

The workshop is open to all artists, beginners to advanced.
