DESCRIPTION:Join John Arbuckle\, Craig van den Bosch\, and Colleen Monette for a weekend workshop in book making and collage. \nThis fun filled workshop with three Pacific NW artists will be held at The Lodge at St. Edward’s State Park in Kenmore\, Washington. The workshop is divided into three sections. The first part will be construction of your book and the creation of Japanese style papers using a process called Suminagashi and other printing techniques. These processes will incorporate natural vegetation. The workshop continues with the development of a collaged narrative which includes repetition of thematic components\, similar and related elements\, color\, pattern and place making. In the final segment of this workshop we will be adding finishing elements to your amazing book. Possible additions include photo transfers\, overlays\, thread\, ribbon\, paint and markers. \nThe workshop is open to all artists\, beginners to advanced. \nEmail Catalyst Fine Art to register for the workshop.

DESCRIPTION:The Lodge at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore will once again host John Arbuckle\, collage and book artist\, in a new workshop Texture and Collage…using recycled materials to create an art journal. In this workshop you will use a variety of techniques to create your own unique collaged expressions in a small book format. Art journaling provides an excellent way to express your ideas through creative exploration.\nThe workshop will be two days\, June 3 and 4\, 2023 from 10am until 4pm each day. There will be a one hour lunch break each day. There are several dining options available inside The Lodge at St Edward Park. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for this amazing workshop led by Pam Ingalls\, where you will learn to paint in the Russian Impressionist tradition with still lives and portrait models in The Lodge at St Edward State Park. The class is set up to take each student at their own level through the basics of oil painting with still lives and/or portraits. Wednesday evening 3/15\, come watch a painting demonstration\, where there will be lots of time for questions at the end. The next 4 days will be an immersion into learning how to paint.
