DESCRIPTION:Would you like to honor a special person(s) in your life or a historical figure(s)\,\nsomeone who has given you a meaningful experience or provided you with a\nlife’s lesson? The Lodge will be hosting two collage workshops on\nMarch 11 and March 12 from 10am – 4pm each day\, to celebrate Women’s History month. \nEach workshop is separate. You can sign up for one or both. \nHotel room discount is available for guests booking a room while participating in the workshops. \nCollage: Paint with Paper Combined with Bookbinding\nThe first workshop\, on Saturday\, March 11 will combine painting with paper and\nbook binding. You will create a collaged art journal from recycled materials in\njust one day. This art experience will take you on a journey of expression. The\ninstructor\, John Arbuckle\, will lead you on a meaningful and enjoyable art\nadventure. You will learn a variety of collage techniques that will enhance your\nart experience. This workshop is open to all artists\, beginners to advanced.\nMost materials will be provided in the workshop. A minimal supply list will be\nprovided to you when you sign up. \nJohn Arbuckle has taught for over 45 years in elementary schools and middle\nschools; at adult education centers at a local college; festival workshops; and\nThe Pacific NW Art School. His art can be found in personal art collections in\nmany countries and is shown frequently at NW Collage Society exhibits. His work is shared daily on his blog Artjuvenation. SUMMARY:Pam Ingalls oil painting workshop at The Lodge at St Edward State Park
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for this amazing workshop led by Pam Ingalls\, where you will learn to paint in the Russian Impressionist tradition with still lives and portrait models in The Lodge at St Edward State Park. The class is set up to take each student at their own level through the basics of oil painting with still lives and/or portraits. Wednesday evening 3/15\, come watch a painting demonstration\, where there will be lots of time for questions at the end. The next 4 days will be an immersion into learning how to paint. Plan to get inspired and walk away with new skills. All levels of experience are very welcome! The cost is $600. The class will be held in one of their beautiful meeting rooms. We’ll have a 1 1/2 hour lunch break each day when you’ll be able to either keep painting\, have a leisurely lunch\, and/or enjoy the beautiful trails in the park. (There is a wonderful\, gourmet restaurant right there\, Cedar+Elm)  If you’d like to stay at The Lodge\, there is a special discounted rate for workshop students.
