Catalyst Fine Art announces the opening of Collage at The Lodge.

March 3 – May 29, 2022

on exhibit in the 1st floor gallery

Come celebrate collage with Catalyst Fine Art inside The Lodge at St Edward Park. 80 works of art by Northwest Collage Society Artists are on exhibit in the 1st floor gallery where we are hosting the 2022 NWCS spring juried exhibit.

A collage (from the French word coller, to glue) is a work of formal art made by gluing different pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other ephemera onto a supporting surface, thus creating a new whole. The term collage was coined by both Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a distinctive part of modern art.

The Northwest Collage Society has exhibited at Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds, Columbia City Gallery in Seattle, Bellevue Arts Museum Community Education Gallery, Washington State Convention Center and many other locations through out the state of Washington.
