Beacon - Steffon Moody

No longer the location of the actual Rainier brewery (the company was purchased by
Pabst brewery in 1999). In 2000, Tullys bought the building for coffee roasting and
replaced the red “R” with a green “T”, which created quite a stir. Thirteen years later the
situation was rectified, as Tullys relocated, and the iconic “R” was put back in its rightful
place. A textbook demonstration of the power of iconic landmarks.
